Our innovative horsemanship class is a progressive program for those ages 8 and older. It covers everything from horse conformation to horse care to riding skills to breed information and more. There is so much to learn when it comes to horses and weekly riding lessons only cover a small portion. Our horsemanship class is a great learning experience for all riders who wish to increase their horse knowledge.
This program works on a progressive scale. Students receive a workbook for their level in the class. Each week a new chapter is covered with written, oral and practical skills. Written activity and tests are scored, students must receive a score of 90% or higher to pass their class and participation/attendance counts.
Some of the class days maybe mounted. Students will receive a syllabus the first day of class stating which ones.
PIZZA PARTY & Mounted horse games on the last day if all students pass!!
Cost: $285 (includes books, use of horse, basic materials, snacks and instruction.)*
Horsemanship Level 1 (6 openings)
- DATES: November 5 & 12, December 3 & 10, January 7 & 14, February, 4 & 25, March 4 & 11
- TIME: Fridays 6pm to 8pm
Horsemanship Level 2 (6 openings)
- DATES: November 6 & 13, December 4 & 11, January 8 & 15, February, 5 & 26, March 5 & 12
- TIME: Saturdays 1:30pm to 3:30pm
*Minimum 3 participants to hold class at this cost. If less then 3 cost is subject to a $25 increase.
