Young Rider Mini-Camp
Little kids and Pony's, what could be better?
How about some quality time at the stable? Our Young Rider camp is designed to get kids 4 to 6 years old ready for riding and regular camps. Our half day, 4 day program offers youngsters time to get familiar with pony's, grooming, basic riding, horsemanship activities and regular camp activities such as art projects, making horse treats and soapy pony's!
- 4 day long camp Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
- Week of JULY 27 & AUGUST 17
- 1 group with 10 openings each week.
- $250 per session or $400 for both sessions. Early Bird Special of $225!
- Riders must be 3 to 6 years old and not be afraid of horses/pony's.
- ALL campers signing up for this camp MUST take a pre-camp lesson scheduled at least 1 week in advance.
Daily Schedule:
9:00 am - Check in and then out to the barn.
9:15 to 9:45 - Learn about and assist with barn chore.
9:45 to 10:15 - Grooming and tacking up pony.
10:15 to 11:45 - 1 on 1 lesson & barn activity (pony bathing, braiding, tack cleaning etc.)
11:45 to 12:00 - Snack time
12:00 to 1:00 - Off- horse activity (soapy pony's, horse treats, games, horsemanship lessons)
1:00 - Your camper will be ready for a nap!
Age refers to your rider at the time of camp (not the time of registration). Please note that as registration starts, camp session info. above may change slightly to accommodate ages/ability where needed. If you have a questions about ages/levels please contact us.
CITs/JR. C's are required to email us to sign up for camp date ahead of time and must be at camp at least 4 full days (9:00 to 4:00) the weeks they are there to earn credit towards extra lessons/practice rides (NO EXCEPTIONS). 1 week = 1 practice rides or 1 lesson
Please note: If you would like to have your child and their friends/siblings in the same session they must all meet the requirements for that session. We will not hold spots without payments. Please have everyone sign up together and note the request. Camp opening availability is noted on camp pages.
Youth XS (4 - 6), S (6 - 8), M (10 - 12), L (14 - 16), XL (18 - 20), let us know if you need additional size info.

• We prefer online payments but will also accept checks (no cash please).
• Campers spots are only held for 1 week (without payment) from the time of registration. We will not hold spots without a deposit or payment in full.
• All camp payments are non-refundable but maybe transferred (to another session).
• All of our camp discounts and specials are pay in full only. If you need to give a deposit only at registration then you will be charged full cost of camp. Deposits are $200 and must be paid by check within 1 week of us receiving your campers registration.
• Deposits are deducted from the camp total not added to it.
• Great Escape Stables reserves the right to cancel/combine sessions or refuse registration with or without reason.
