Do you have experience working with kid’s?

Why do you want to be a CIT or Jr. Counselor, be specific?

Why do you think it is important to show up to the sessions you signed up for, on time and ready to help?

Your supervising a group of Young Rider campers (5 to 7 year olds) and two of the children are picking on one of the other campers, you can’t get anyone because they are working with other groups, what do you think you should do?  Be specific.

You are helping with a youth camp 1 group while they are riding.  None of the riders need to be lead but from time to time one of the horses will stop and not go or turn into the center or run up on another horse.  What do you think you should be doing while helping with this group?  Choose the best answer:
Sitting on the ground in the arena drawing in the dirt.
Gossiping with the other CIT’s or Jr. Counselors.
Sitting in the chairs in the corner (Couselor didn’t tell you to).
Being attentive in the center of the ring near the Counselor and help with individual problems riders might have.
Standing in the center of the ring picking at your nails and thinking about how hot it’s been and what time you’re going to the pool later.

CIT’s and Jr. Counselors are considered role model’s, any one working with camp must be viewed as a positive role model.  What qualities do you have that make you a good role model?

Any person representing GES is required to uphold our standards.  CIT’s must be willing to dress in riding friendly attire or conservative summer wear.  Breeches, jeans, basketball shorts or mid-thigh length shorts are appropriate.  Booty shorts, skits and any thing shorter then fingertip length is not appropriate barn clothing.  T-shirts and tank tops are ok provided then are not low cut.  Any tops that are low cut or “reveling” are not appropriate barn clothing.  Any one who shows up and isn’t appropriately dressed will be given appropriate clothing to wear for the day.
Do you agree to the above statement?
